Roman Reigns tragically announced he’d be stepping away from WWE on October 22nd’s episode of Monday Night Raw, relinquishing the belt and taking time off to deal with Leukemia.
While updates on Reigns’ recovery have been scarce, one surprising update has come from Chris Jericho, while speaking with Chris Van Vliet.
Chris Jericho spoke with Chris Van Vliet.on his YouTube channel regarding his AEW contract and the possibility of a WWE return in the future – but he also provided an interesting update on the recovery of Roman Reigns.
He’s doing his treatment, and I think things are going really well. I don’t really know much about leukemia. I don’t know what the endgame is as far as when you’re ‘cured’ – when it goes into remission, when you can do physical matches or travel or whatever it is.
Y2J continued, saying he texts Reigns regularly and that he remains in good spirits!
While updates on Reigns’ health have been scarce, it’s nice to hear a positive update from Jericho on the matter. Pittsburgh locals can now make plans to meet Reigns in February next year, though, at World of Wheels on February 8th.
